About Me

Kate has a creative imagination that captures the little things in life that usually go unnoticed and brings them to life in her images. Inspired by a heart shape in a rose petal or a cat sleeping in a flower pot, it is this eye for detail that makes her photographs quite magical and timeless.

Having obtained an Honours Degree in Photojournalism at Swansea Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom, Kate now resides in Cape Town, South Africa. She has travelled widely and worked abroad.  For the past 2 years, she has worked in the photographic department at Touchline Media  - on magazines such as Shape and Mens Health, shooting beauty, grooming stills and feature articles.  Other clients include Foschini, Sterns and Truworths.

Kate now has her own business, Perfect Picture Photography which specializes in Weddings, Portraits, Landscapes, and Interiors from Corporate Events to Children’s Parties, Pet, Family, Personal and Commercial portraiture. An enthusiastic, energetic and inspired photographer.  Kate likes to spend time getting to know her clients so that she can bring out their personalities in all her pictures.

Whether it’s a one-on-one session, capturing the special moments of daily life or shooting for top South African magazines, it is her commitment to getting the shot and professionalism that really shines through.
